Testing Your Integration
For Stripe: At this time, you can't test the integration in Stripe test mode, so it has to be done in production. We will soon offer the option to test in Stripe test mode.
To test out the integration:
Create a demo affiliate through your affiliate portal and copy your link.
Open your affiliate link.
Make a test purchase on your website.
BONUS if you're using Stripe subscription: You can create a 100% off coupon on Stripe and use that code to make the test purchase, so you do not get charged.
For Paddle Billing: Create an affiliate account through your affiliate portal, visit your website and make a purchase.
For Paddle Classic: We support Paddle sandbox, so instead of integrating with your Paddle Prod account, use your Sandbox account and switch to prod when ready.
To test the flow after setup:
Do a test payment with an affiliate link to see if it's being tracked.
Ensure you set up on Paddle sandbox and change the Paddle public key to live Paddle when ready.
For Chargebee: To test, create an affiliate account, visit your website with the affiliate link, and make a purchase.
You can:
Test with real payments.
Use Chargebee test mode by setting up the webhooks there and switching back to real payments when done.
