Why set your program type to private or public?

Choosing between a private or public program type allows you to control how new partners are onboarded into your partner program. This flexibility helps you maintain control over who joins while offering convenience when appropriate.

  • Public program:

    • Automatically approves all new partner applications without manual intervention.

    • Ideal for programs that want to maximize partner sign-ups and minimize administrative work.

  • Private program:

    • Requires manual approval for each new partner sign-up.

    • You can review applicants' answers to custom fields or questions, as well as additional details like countries, before deciding.

    • Adds an extra layer of security and quality control to your program.

Setting your program type to private helps ensure that only qualified and trustworthy partners are accepted, while the public setting is more suitable for open, large-scale recruitment.

To adjust your program type, navigate to the Program settings > General settings in your Tolt dashboard and choose the desired option.
