Manually adding customers in Tolt offers flexibility and control over your partner program. This feature is useful for tracking offline referrals, handling special cases, or testing your setup. When you manually add a customer, any future payments from that customer will be tracked automatically.
Step-by-step guide
Choose the partner
Select the partner responsible for the customer. This is essential to ensure the customer is linked correctly for tracking and commissions.Date of sign-up
Enter the date when the customer signed up. This helps maintain accurate records for referral timelines.Customer name (optional)
You can include the name of the customer, though this field is optional. It’s useful if you want to personalize customer tracking.Customer email/identifier
Provide the customer’s email address. This ensures future transactions are associated with the correct customer.Subscription ID (optional)
If applicable, enter the subscription ID from your payment processor for the customer. This field is optional but helps track subscriptions if needed.Customer status
Choose the status that reflects the customer’s current state:Lead: Customer has signed up, not yet converted.
Active: Customer has an active subscription.
Suspended: Temporarily inactive customer, the affiliate will not receive a commission until the customer is reactivated.
Refunded: Customer has received a refund.
Trial: Customer is on a trial period.
Add transactions (optional)
You can also manually create transactions for the customer:Amount: Enter the transaction amount.
Date: Specify the date when the customer paid or converted the transaction.
Once you’ve added the customer and any transactions, Tolt will automatically track future payments and update the partner's commission status accordingly.
